Front Mission 3 was indeed awesome, I hope that FM4 does make it over here, mech strategy games are few and far between, I tryed 'Ring of Red' a few years ago but it wasnt that great I thought.

I actually thought Ring of Red was a good game. There definately is a lack of mech strategy titles. I also like turn based strategy games such as Vandal Hearts. You would have thought FM3 would have had a sequel by now considering it was released on the Psone.

well sega has let me down again. the new pso game comes out soon, and i was very happy when i saw there wasn't a thing on the front telling me a cred card was required. i was so happy.......till i turned the box over and saw that yes, u do need to pay-to-play the new pso card game online. well i won't be getting that now. the new harvest moon comes out this month 4 gc and eb is running something so u can trade 4 old ps2, gc, or xbox games and u get it free. i'll be doing this, cuz i luv harvest moon.

Sorry I guess I just found 'Ring of Red' a bit too slow moving for my likeing, it might have been the storyline that bothered me a bit too, the evolution of mechs in history is a complex one. Wasnt squaresoft responisble for that game? Wonder why they didnt just do Front Mission IV instead?

It was Konami that produced Ring of Red. So i guess we couldn't exactly expect it to be as good as a squaresoft game. I've heard the .hack games are like PSO, does anyone think they are worth getting? (the first .hack game is being released in U.K in a few weeks)

I have never personally tried the .hack games myself, but I have heard that like many RPG's they are addictive. There are three or four .hack games now and I think they are all part of a continuing storyline where your characters advance through the games bringing their Hp and stats to each game, so be prepared for some lengthy gaming.

I played the first few minutes of the game, only thing i did'nt really like about it was, you see all the other "players" with these cool warriors and big swords etc, and you end up with a 3 foot tall guy with two daggers. the story was not to bad, i did'nt get far in the game to get the full deal yet, but i'd say its worth a try. it makes you feel like your really playing an online RPG cuz you get Emails and can hire diffrent party memebers and add them to your Friends list, but some wont be "online" all the time.

I was wondering if anyone knows much about these 2 games (info might just be slow coming to the brit shores)
"Goldeneye 2" - Heard it's being developed at the moment, not a sequel but a remake for the current 3 consoles of the N64 game. I have never played Goldeneye on the N64 but have always heard people saying it's the best FPS ever so i would be interested in playing a new version.
FF12 - I've heard this game has a u.k release date due for the start of next year. Due to online costs i'll be skipping FF11, so this is the game i hope they take all the good parts of previous games and put them all into the one game.
Does anyone one know much about these games or any other rumours?

I have never played Goldeneye on the N64 but have always heard people saying it's the best FPS ever so i would be interested in playing a new version. Goldeneye 2 is being made by EA and is supposed to be a sequel to the 'movie' Goldeneye, not the popular N64 game. For more information on Goldeneye 2 go to this link below. www.eagames.com/news/goldeneye_022704.jsp?src=11hmer2g1000gnonenoneFF12 is coming out in Japan this summer, expect it out over in North America hopefully either this Christmas or early 2005, I will be skipping FF11 too I cant justify the $200 plus Canadian I'll have to spend to get my PS2 online playing that game. For more info on FF12 check this link.I try to have information on all the upcome hit games out there if you see one I am not covering feel free to open a topic about it.

Hmm... will Goldeneye 2 just be another money maker for EA. I say this because in the link in the post above, it mentions Goldeneye 2 will be the creation of a new franchise - perhaps they are using the name to encourage more people to buy future games. Plus it also looks like you don't actually get to play as 007, that probably won't go down well with the fans
