I'm torn between the great Napoleon Bonaparte for his impact on the European world and his strategies in his earlier days (though taking on Russia WAS a pretty stupid idea), and Gavrilo Princep, for assassinating France (Franz?) Ferninand and causing World War I... and only getting put in jail for it.
I know it's sad that I find these two people to be my favorite people in history (since they both kinda did terrible things, ESPECIALLY Princep), but I can't help but admire them, really. To think, when Princep pulled the trigger, he finally lit the fuze for one if not the most bloodiest war in the world.
Okay, so I'm a sado-masochists...

William Wallace was a good general and really kiked some English ass. I pefer rob roy though. But for me its got to be either Alexander the Great or Hannibal. Alexander with a tiny army defeated the entire Persian empire and Hannibal who was outnumbered by the Romans vastly nearly brought them into ruin. Had Hannibal not died then the Romans would of been defeated.

The actual Alexander the Great was kick-butt awesome... now, if the Anime actually had guys that wore pants... even for me, a girl... I was begging for some pants. But, yeah, the historical Alexender was someone to be remembered... forever... or something like that.

Apart from Three Kingdoms people, I'd say Hitler. While I don't support what he did, he is probably the most fascinating historical figure I can think of.

Well i can understand if people have a bit of respect for Hitler, not for his Doings against the Jewish People, but he must have been a very good speaker to get a whole country to follow his lead. so a good talker he was.

Hitler was an amazing person who brought Germany up from a post WW1 disaster to a major world power by the mid 1930's.
He did many terrible things too and he did become rather a nutter by the later part of WW2 but he made so many changes for Germany that it shows his leadership abilites that so many followed him..
I find WW2 and leader of the time period a facinating subject if people wish we can leave this topic for historical; figures and start a new seperate topic for WW2 or Hitler disscussion, or both even.
I may add a "World History" Category if enough people are interested in commenting on it.

Eh, Hitler was so strange for so many reasons. His sanity can be questioned, too.
