Hitler was a lazy dictator. He basically talked about his ideology and his generals around him would then go off and make sure it was done. Hitler spent most of his time either sleeping, napping or dozing off. When hitler did take command of the German army he really messed up and caused a huge defeat. If hitler had left the war to those who knew what they were doing such as Himmel,Guring and Rommel then the Nazis may of won. dont forget he could of wiped Britain out but decided to attack Russia (Never a good idea Napoleon found that out). Hitler was a gifted spokesman and had strong political views. He gave the German people pragmatism and Ideology but he knew nothing of war. after all he was only a corpral in the First World War.
Churchill was far better than Hitler in my opinion.

Wow thats a tough one there have been so many amazing feats done by the worlds top historical figures. Llloyd George,Asquith,Churchill,Alfred the great,Boudeica,Alexander the great,Ghengis Kahn,Attila the Hun,Joan of Arc,Henry V, the list goes on and on. Its impossible to have a faveourite as so many have been great in their own way. Without Lloyd George and Asquith Briatin would of lost the first world war and without Alfred the great Britain would have never been united under 1 banner.

Other than figures in Chinese and Japanese history,(cos there would be too many, I would hate to choose a particular one), I would choose Hitler. I don't support MOST of his beliefs, but its kind of cool to see how strongly he stuck to his ambition and how far he actually got.

I'm torn between the great Napoleon Bonaparte for his impact on the European world and his strategies in his earlier days (though taking on Russia WAS a pretty stupid idea), and Gavrilo Princep, for assassinating France (Franz?) Ferninand and causing World War I... and only getting put in jail for it. Actually, taking on Russia was a great idea. Napoleon understood that Russia would likely strike against him, and if it wasw Russia coming to France, the Russians would likely gain the aid of prussia and austria on the way. This in mind, Napoleon decided to strike first, however, he had not intended to dive so far into Russia. What was stupid was staying in Russia for too long.
