If Musashi was in the game I am very sure that someone would have unlocked him by now. So I'm going to assume that he is NOT in the game.

Who's Musashi and what right does he/she have on getting into the game and not Hideyoshi!? Well going on the note why is Tokugawa Ieyasu not in the game? You are correct though Toyotomi Hideyoshi deserves a place in the game for being one of the most important in Japanese history, my only problem is (as some of the other characaters also) hideyoshi was not a valiant fighter or glorious warrior. He was a great general and administrator. Assuming you are serious, Miyamoto Mushashi was one, if not the best, of Japan's samurai. He is considered the 'sword saint' (there maybe others I can't remember nor remember the term for sword saint). He was a ronin in the Tokugawa reign. He fought on the losing side of Sekigahara and became a master swordsman. They named a battleship after him to I thought that was neat. But I just thought he may be a secret character because I heard it somewhere and speaking in terms of samurai he was the best so I figured he may be in there.

I think it's safe to say that Tokugawa Ieyasu, Hideyoshi, and Musashi are not in the game.

I think it's safe to say that Tokugawa Ieyasu, Hideyoshi, and Musashi are not in the game. I wish they were, at least the first two. I've learned to like Tokugawa, and everyone knows I adore Hideyoshi... he's too funny for me to hate, even when he causes my morale to plummet!

The rumor is, that if you collect all six books with a CAW, than Musashi will be unlocked. Someone on IGN is in the process of attempting it, but I dont believe anyone has confirmed completing the task yet. I personally dont believe it, as there are a few holes in the story (which I went into much more detail about on IGN).

Besides you dont equip anything on your created officer when you go for training I think this is just another internet rumour equipping the books just gives you the 'death' element really. By the way has anyone notived the google advertising on this page? Most amusing I thought.Maybe Musashi knows about this book idea? ;D

hahah well I still haven't heard if its true or not that he is a secret character BUT if you look at Kengou bodyguards Musashi is there along with his rival Kojiro and Munenori. I don't remember the other two. I found that amusing. Also on that note in DW Nobunaga is one of the bodyguards.
