Hello all! I'm sorry to be a bother, but I've been trying to unlock all the endings. Iain was an immense help with Goemon, but now I'm trying to do Maeda's and it's just insanity-inducing. I find one document that says 'keep Yukimura alive in the second battle' and another that says 'kick his ass in the second battle'! I'm not really entirely sure what I am supposed to do to get his fifth stage...can anyone who's done it enlighten me on the expectations? Thanks so very much in advance. I do appreciate it!! Love! Ok Hushicho to get Keiji's fifth senario you must do certain things during the four previous scenarios that lead up to it. Scenario #1. (The Battle of Ise)Prevent the enemy from surrendering. Scenario #2. (The Battle of Nagashino)Eliminate Yukimura Sanada. Scenario #3. (Dance of Kyoto)Defeat Goemon Ishikawa. Scenario #4. (Odawara Infiltration) Eliminate Masamune Date. These tasks when completed should open up the fifth Scenario for you, but be warned it isnt enough just to kill the officer in question. You must first get the mission to eliminate the officer, then defeat him. Beating them before you get the mission is the same as never having completed the mission, so be careful.

AHA! The Ise one was the one where I was going wrong, thanks for clearing that up. I really wasn't sure about it. Keiji's ending is really absolutely wonderful...I love it. It's such a perfect ending. I love all of Goemon's 'family' and their endings...a really great group. Thanks for helping me see that. It was really worth all the frustration!! Now, about Hattori Hanzou's fourth mission...how on earth do I even start to describe my bewilderment at it? I know I'm supposed to take the notes, but although it seems to indicate that I do it correctly on the first floor, the second one I can't get him to do anything. I hang around the pink room without breaking down the door...nothing. I'm sure the gunshots outside that I can't avoid don't do much to help, but there's no other way to do it. How am I supposed to get these 'notes'? It's driving me insane. As always, the help is very very much appreciated. Love! Hushicho

You dont locate the letter untill the fifth level hushicho, in a cut-scene before you battle Yukimura Sanada. But you need to gather all information on the previuos floors to get this scene.
Ueda Infiltration When you enter the Castle, go through the door in front of you. Pass through the next door and watch out for the explosive jars there.Go around the spike traps on the floor and as you go around a corner to the west, enter the door on your right. Strike down the next left door and walk to the door ahead of you to your right. Listen carefully.
After the conversation, head towards the stairs to the next level, but dont leave yet. There is more information to gather. Before you get to the room with the stairs, go through the left door and into the room to the east. Look for a door and listen to the second conversation. Then head for the second level.
On the third level, you must eavesdrop on two conversations. If you dont listen to the doors in order, and destroy the doors before you find the first conversation, you'll be discovered and the mission will change from one of stealth to one of combat. The first conversation is in the map's south. The second is farther away in the level's southeast area. Hanzo alerts you by saying, "Farther back to the back." when you are close.
At level four the battle with Kunoichi is only necessary if you fail to gather information from levels one to three. This mission is all combat. Head toward the stairs to the next level. Along the way, you battle Kunoichi. You must defeat her to continue on.
Lastly level five is small. If you completed the information gathering on levels one through three, you wont fight any enemies here. Proceed to the level's end to show a cutscene showing Hanzo retrieving the letter.
If you werent able to gather all the information. You'll have to fight your way out of this one, max out your musou bar and grab the full health in the box in front of you. Go to the end of the path to the courtyard. In the north room Yukimura Sanada is waiting for you accompanied by two bodyguards.

Thanks very much! Actually I meant the information rather than the letter...more like mental notes really. Your advice really helped, although I have to say that despite having gathered all the information beforehand, I did have to face Kunoichi on level four regardless. Nonetheless I did claim the reward and got Hanzou's upper path and CG ending. Thanks so very much for helping! It's really been a pleasure to get these done. After that I went back and also unlocked Kunoichi's ungodly depressing in-game model ending, which was disappointing and weird, and next is the one I'm dreading...unlocking all of Shingen's and Yukimura's, the last two characters that I need. Thanks to your help at Koei, Iain, Yukimura should be no problem on either end...still, it's always a chore to go through a game with characters you're not exactly wild about. I think I'll try to get Shingen's done first, since I'm fonder of him. I'm really kind of surprised now that I'm going back and getting all these different endings...it's a really rich game and some of the endings and missions I hadn't done give me a greater appreciation of the characters. Maeda I didn't really think much of before going through and doing his missions properly and hearing the rest of his story, as well as getting his CG ending...Koei really did well making each character likable or sympathetic in his or her own way. I really appreciate that. But I appreciate Iain's help more. Thanks again so much. Love! Hushicho

No problem always glad to help out, if you have anymore questions or quirys about Samurai Warriors why not ask them here so others can seek help in these pages also. I too have found this game to have great replayability despite the fact it has a third less characters than the Dynasty Warriors games. Koei is indeed a designing genius really. ;D

They really are! I was surprised too, because the Dynasty Warriors games had a lot more characters...a LOT! But I think really there was a lot more solid story and gameplay packed into Samurai Warriors/Sengoku Musou. It really appealed to me a lot more than the Dynasty Warriors/Sangoku Musou series did, although it did get me interested in going back to them and doing a lot of things that I never thought about before. But I'm just so surprised that I was able to get into Sengoku Musou/Samurai Warriors so easily, and yet it's kept my attention and my fascination this long. It was very very engaging from the start, and it is indeed one of those things that's 'a moment to learn, much longer to master'! Now I can pull off complex combos that I couldn't even dream about at first, I've got the timing down and the general idea of the combos. And the controls are so great that it makes it easy to run through with just about anyone, but you also have a challenge because everyone has different strengths and weaknesses, and their personalities are all so distinct. It's really wonderful. And of course there's a special character that appeals to me so strongly, Okuni, that makes me feel that I'm in the game! So definitely a great job from Koei. I wish we could see more games like this! But then if we did, it wouldn't seem so special. A great game that's great fun and has kept my interest for a long while! Love! Hushicho
