has anyone else seen this amazing anime? it's the story of yume who moves to tokyo to be trained as a mage to use Special Power to help people. it's probably the most heart-felt anime i've ever seen. the soundtrack is also amazing. the official website is down now so i can't give a link to it. but i can asure u that it's good. note my new avatar comes from this show. www.we-love-anime.com/gallery/index.php?g=Somedays%20Dreamers this is a gallery for the anime

I thought it looked interesting, but being a Witchly sort myself in RL I tend to shy away from these series until I get a clearer picture of how they are. I ended up adoring Mahou Tsukai Tai! OVA because of its tender as well as hilarious treatment of magica and magic-users, but there are plenty of other titles I went in thinking it would be fun and came out wishing I'd never even bothered. Also, I tend to be easily bored or annoyed by anime romances these days since most of them tend to have an annoying, unsympathetic pair pushed together for no other reason besides the fact that one is male and the other is female. I'm not really interested in most heterosexual romances, so it has to really be something compelling and special. So I ask...how special is this series, and why? Love! Hushicho

To be honest, that review makes it sound absolutely awful...for some reason the 'translation' of the second part of the title gets right under my skin too.
Is there any place that talks a bit more in-depth about the series so that I can find out some actual information on it and decide for myself whether or not it's really something I'm going to enjoy? Thanks for the efforts though, I appreciate posting the links.

like what do u want to know? most reviews i've seen aren't very good, but then they give it a good score.
that's weird that whole review only says positive things about it.
i wonder why that is.
anyway what i liked about it was how emotional it can be at times. the mages aren't all *bang zap* u with power either. they're more like psychologists. and they don't dress up in ridiculous outfits either. they're more like normal people. they're not here to fight for earth's survival, just to help people. there's no fighting in it. try going to a search site and just type 'someday's dreamers review' u might be able to find what ur looking for.

Outfits and fighting aren't important. If they fit in with the story, it doesn't matter how outlandish they might seem to someone who hasn't seen it. But making an interesting story is important, and not having a bunch of whiny teenagers angsting over 'romance' isn't the way to do that. At least, not to me. As well as that, just because a review doesn't seem to say negative things about a series doesn't mean that the things it says aren't negative things. I know I probably sound picky, but...well, that's because I am! I've wasted too much time with anime series that I don'f find appealing, so now I'm quite particular about what I do watch. Hope that makes it a bit more clear. In any case, I may try to find some copies of this and watch it, but from what all the reviews seem to indicate it doesn't seem altogether too compelling...seems a little too much like what us real-life 'mages' do. And perhaps that's what it's supposed to be. But I watch anime for a nice escape from humdrum. Love! Hushicho

don't worry there's only one instance of this in only one episode.
