The Rules here.
It is fairly simple to get along here and I dont have the time to really do a long list of rules so its short for now.
1.Dont Spam here, I take a very dim view of people messing up others work. Obviously some spam will get ignored but if a good topic is spammed too much heads will roll!!
Spam is any post that does not directly further the objective of a thread, which includes off topic posts, posts which only contain a few words and/or emoticons, and inappropriate replies to a thread. If a thread asks for an opinion, rather than simply saying “Yes” or “No” in a post, explain your position and the reasons why you make your decision. This helps promote conversation.
In addition any members that feel they can spam their way to sucess here will find that punishment ranges from haveing their post counts reset to spam warnings and eventual cancelation of their membership here.
2. No excessive swearing please, I know that this is the 21st century now but I dont see why people need to use certain words. Expand your vocabulary or buy a dictionary but learn some better words to use here please.
3. No racist comments I know people all over the world and dont care to think of anyone as being hateful to others. Please keep those viewpoints away.
4. Offending other Members and Flaming
Do not attack another member because you don’t like them or because you disagree with their opinion on a matter. If you have personal words to share with them do it via private message. Open attacks will result in warnings or banning What is a flame? A flame is a blatant attack on another member (not their argument). If you insult another member purposefully to any degree, it will result in a flame warning.
5. Trolling
Trolling is a net term, which refers to a malicious post that is designed to anger or upset people in general, cause flame wars, or otherwise unwanted behavior on the forum.
These type of topics are not designed with fair debate in mind and do not permit a balanced discussion without inciting anger from either side of the opinion spectrum. As you can imagine, trolling also applies to individual posts, and not just new threads that are made. Trolling is a serious offense here that carries a severe warning with it. As such, we request that you avoid trolling, or responding to trolls. Make your topics and posts as clear and inoffensive as possible.
6.Listen to the Administrators and Moderators
They help run this forum. It is their job to make sure this is a friendly and rewarding place for everyone that comes here. If you get a message from one of them please pay attention. Do not assume a moderator has no power in forums they don’t moderate, because they do. With that in mind, also remember that you can approach any moderator or administrator if you are having problems with anything on the forum. We are here to help members, not just enforce rules.
7. Advertiseing other forums Lately I have noticed a few members posting locations of their own forums, while I have no problem with this practice there really needs to be a bit of order here in where the information goes.
Effective immediately any forum advertising will be restricted to three places.
Your signature.
Your Profile.
The other forum thread being made in the Public Council area.
Use those three options to post your forum locations, any new topics opened in the General forum or any other place except where stated will be subject to swift locking and deletion.Warnings will be issued for repeated abuse of these forums please keep all related information in its proper area.
8. Avatars The maximum size for avatars in this forum is 100 pixels wide by 100 pixels tall. Please make sure your avatar falls within these dimensions. If you go outside of the dimensions we will help you get it fixed. Continuing to use a larger avatar after being informed by the moderation team will result in your avatar being disabled. An avatars tutorial is being made and will be linked here soon. Animated GIFs are distracting and may be limited also if they become an issue.
Also try not to post an unsuitable image here for an avatar, it will be removed!!
So far there is no rule nine....Yet.
